Above photo was taken in 1975 when I was 19 years-old and

one of the first female audio engineers in the music industry.

Andre Turan and I met at Homeboy Studios in NYC in 1993. At the time, he was writing and performing with Zoltan Bathory (Five Finger Death Punch).  In 2014, we began writing and playing music together as JANTURAN. It was Andre's idea to record rarely covered songs by famous musicians whom I had helped record in the '70's and '80's at Mediasound Recording Studios (pictured above).

Songs by Brian Eno, Talking Heads, Ramones, Lou Reed, Barry Manilow and more are included on Legendary (listen below). As an added bonus I've written Liner Notes corresponding to the initial sessions with a bird’s eye view on the creative processes of the original artists and producers behind each song. I’ve culled these notes from what I witnessed, the journals I kept as well as recent interviews and cyber exchanges with persons who were also there at the time.
